“Dear brothers and sisters,[a] when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” James 1:1-4

Weekly Christian Perspective

This perspective is based on a powerful message that Pastor Tony Howard brought forth on Sunday entitled, “Above All Things” taken from III John verse 2. While we are living here on earth we need to realize that tests and trials will always be waiting for us. People may try to show that they are above you through their actions, but you will need to be above it to survive. The gospel of John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God”.

Are you going to worship the world or are you going to renew your mind by worshiping God as your creator and Jesus as your inspiration, your teacher, your redeemer and your healer. He will if you believe in him cover all your mistakes, if you repent to him, your faults and serve him, not evil. You can be above all things by focusing on Jesus and not letting the enemy or anyone kill his anointing on your life. Decide to follow his example and instructions and you will rise above all things.

Praise God for the will to choose good over evil. God is above all things and wants the same for you. Position yourself above whatever you’re going through. Rise above in spite of what you’re going through. Let him fill your heart with his ways and your cup will overflow. As you live his lifestyle He will set you free and your life will be more peaceful. You will see Jesus in others and others will see Jesus in you no matter what you may be going through.

Paul writes in Ephesians 1:22, “And he put “all things” under his feet and gave him to be the head of the church”.  Ephesians 1:23 continues saying, “Which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all”. Then Ephesians 2: 1 says, “And you, he made alive who were dead in trespasses and sins”.

Would you accept his grace and move on. Be above it all. Let his instructions set you free. After all, he was freely willing to die for your sins and show us all that he was above it all. Accept the fact that he has predestined you to be part of his church and that if you will only allow him to he will live inside of you and talk with you as your counselor. And you shall have the power and authority to be above all things as he is.

Are you ready to rise above all things too? His examples and instructions will show you how. You don’t have to be subject to evil. Rise above it all and begin to treat people the way you expect them to treat you and if they don’t, do not give in. Rise above it all for your children and your children’s sake. You can do it, rise above it all and claim your position in Jesus name. Amen.

Love always, Brother Frank

Weekly Christian Perspective

This week Pastor Tony has begun a new series entitled, “As your soul goes, you go”. He began with a message entitled “Captive but Blessed”, from Jeremiah 29:4-12. God is responsible for your captivity allowing you to be taken. Carried away from what you have become accustom to or comfortable with. While you dwell in a foreign land he wants you to build houses of refuge. Plants seeds and eat the fruit of them that you may be fed and able to birth life in the mist of your captivity. Keep increasing by numbers so they can’t kill you out. Pray for peace on your enemies and it will bring peace on you. You will remain in captivity of that thing or place that holds you captive until you are able to speak blessings upon them.  If they fall then you fall also, but as they prosper so do you and your generations. Before God sends you to a place that is promised he wants you to be blessed, so he will set up the wicked that they more pour into your bosom. Take comfort in the fact that no affliction can exceed the assignment that God has written for you. God assigns us taskmaster that he may kill out the destructive forces within us to save our souls. God will make you lose everything about yourself in order for you to find the truth of you. Even though we run from captivity often captivity is the only thing that can set us free. Jeremiah 29: 11-13 says, “For I know the plans I have for you. They are plans for good and not for disaster, but to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me”. You see, until you produce while your captive God’s not ready yet to bring you out. He’s just trying to help you to help yourself, before your dust turns to dust. So, what are you waiting for?

We can often avoid self-imposed captivity. The moment before the fruits of our actions blossoms into a spirit. We must stop entertaining wickedness and inviting it into our homes.  It is never too late to walk away from it today, cast down the strong holds and imaginations that block you from seeing the keys to your freedom have been in your hand all along.

So my perspective from listening to Pastor Tony at Destined for Glory is this, dream dreams of peace and prosperity right now, and let God bring us out of captivity. No matter the circumstance, if you keep your mind on Jesus, and his Father and His spirit within, you will become one of His treasured possessions. God is willing to bring you out and allow your wealth and health to increase as your spirit increases. He has a plan, a destiny, and a peace waiting for you if you’re willing to participate. Pray for your enemies that hold you in captivity. Remember Jesus is with you always, even to the end of the age. This is my perspective as I listen to an anointed Pastor, at Destined for Glory. And, I compel you to come and worship with us!

Love always, Brother Frank

Weekly Christian Perspective

This week our pastor began a new series entitled, “As a man’s soul goes, he goes”. This lesson comes from Genesis 2:7, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul”.

I am reminded that during that early time Adam was given the job of naming all of God’s creations from those that inhabited the sky and the ocean’s depths. Adam’s anointing was so great that he had to have walked out into the ocean to name such large animals as the whale, which is incapable of coming onto land.  The same power is to us by our own free choice to include God into our lives. God gives us a choice to follow his commandments. Even when we stray from him God will never leave us alone. He sent Jesus who died for our sins and rose again to fulfill scripture. Jesus promised before he ascended to sit at the right hand of the father that he would send us a counselor to be with us at all times. Our very own fresh breath of life so that man and woman could become a living soul indeed.

Pastor continued teaching from, Jeremiah 29:11 saying, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”. Our Lord did not say he would choose for you but that he gave you thoughts of peace to give you an expected end, not a guaranteed one if your choice turns out to serve the evil one. Are you keeping yourself and your family from prosperity by not choosing to obey his instructions or are you willing to make a change in your life to meet the expected end he predestined for you in the beginning. “As a man’s soul goes, he goes”.

Pastor also led us too III John 1:2, “Beloved (that’s you) I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosperth”, which simply means that if your soul continues to prosper so will your health. Hallelujah! Praise God for what he has already done for you and what he is about to do for you, by your own choices will thou soul prospereth. I hope your catching this because he left the choice up to you.

Weekly Christian Perspective

This week’s powerful message wrapped up Pastors teaching of how important it is to “kill it out now (what you’re going through), so it doesn’t resurface in your life”. Someone has been appointed in your life to help bring you out of your situation so you can become an instrument of God for someone else.

Take a step back into history to realize that Adam was appointed to name all the animals and fish. In fact he had to be so anointed that he was able to walk on water if he was going to find and name a huge fish called whale. As you know a whale is too large to come to the beach on his own. God’s choice for Adam in the beginning was for him to live on earth forever and to be in charge. Yet, he gave Adam free choice as he has for all of us. Have you decided to eat from the forbidden tree like Adam did? If so God will anoint your choice to, you will have to live with your bad choices as Adam did. So get ready for rehabbing your faults as I am sure Adam did. Before you can be healed, delivered and set free with forgiveness you will also have to get on your knees and admit your sin and be willing to “Kill it out now, so it doesn’t resurface in your life.

True wealth comes from great suffering and God loves you enough that he will even allow his anointing to go along with your sinful choice giving you protection until you find out the hard way that your choice is about to cost you everything. That’s right he will push your choice, not ahead of him, but out there so that you have a chance to realize that his preferred choice for you is waiting and greater than your sinful choices.

1 Samuel 15 explains why its important to do what God tells you and kill it all out. Remember too that when you come out of your sin, when you thought your rehab was complete, temptation will still be waiting for you. He knows your weak spots and so do you so remember that a good man and women’s step has been anointed by the Lord. So write down your faults so you can show him your willingness is to obey him and to kill those things that otherwise will kill your chance for his saving grace. Do not give him excuses. Because no matter how hard you try to hide it and rationalize it, but this is just a little sin, he sees through all of our excuses.

In the book of Matthew we are taught that we can not serve two masters. Until you choose him you will be broken even if it feels good. That means quit hiding stuff and living an obvious sin that can not be hidden.

I thank God for appointing me a pastor to preach and teach me the word of God because Pastor Tony constantly tells us to read the word of our God daily on purpose; that we will live our lives with purpose and be able to walk into who you are capable of being. Who you were pre ordained to be as an aid to your pastor and an example to others.

So when you read and hear the truth, which can set you free, you still have free will to make your own choices, don’t you? If it becomes the right choices God will assign you health and prosperity. So what are you waiting for? Look into the word and you will see that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Let God break it down this way for you on this day which can be your first day of rehabbing your bad choices. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.St. John 3:16.

             Love always, Brother Frank
